Purpose & principles
About CSR
An industry-neutral home for software discovery and accountable project review.
Community Software Registry brings private proposal development, administrative review, and a public record of approved projects into one process.
01 / Equal access to review
One review process
Every project, including Project Liu Bang, must follow the same submission and approval process. No project receives a special submission path.
02 / A clear record
Clear responsibilities
CSR is the designated submission and review system of record. GitHub is downstream repository infrastructure. Repositories are created manually only after CSR approval.
03 / Deliberate boundaries
Publication with context
A published registry entry records an approved proposal revision. It does not transfer project ownership or certify security, legality, or production readiness.
Organization & access
Planned organization and software access
The selected organizational structure is Community Software Registry LLC, intended as a taxable, founder-controlled Florida LLC. Formation acceptance has not been documented; this page does not represent the LLC as legally formed. No 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) status is being pursued.
Paid memberships and training may be offered. The registry software remains free and open source, and organizations may use or self-host it without purchasing membership. Community participation in technical governance does not convey ownership of the LLC.
CSR v0.1
A foundation for shared software.
Private submission, administrative review, public registry publication, and manually recorded repository links are implemented.
